As a teen the Bible seemed overwhelming to me, I wasn't a big fan of reading books and the Bible is a BIG book. The Bible also seemed really confusing when I finally did open it up to read. I didn't get it, I knew that it was a holy book but I couldn't get past those road blocks. The more that I learned about the Bible the more I fell in love with God's Word to us. This Semester in Life Teen, our job is to get our youth beyond those road blocks and lead them deeper into the Word of God! Last night at I spoke about how God is calling each one of us to do radical, world changing things. God is calling but are we listining? God speaks to us in different ways, reading the Word of God is one of those ways. My Challenge for the youth and anyone who reads this blog is to get a Bible and take the Bible with you everywhere you go. Open Scripture daily, multiple times a day if possible. We need to immerse ourselves in God's word to know God. If the youth of St. Frances Cabrini start listening and answering God's call we will begin to see big things happening, there is no limit to what God can do!
